Samura - சமுர Your situation is somewhat similar to my situation. I manage both my profession and writing for the last 1 year. You can't leave your core profession/academics till you get a good handle on the passionate area and earning a regular income from it. Till then, you concentrate most of your time on academics. But, spend your quality time (1-2 hours) on learning and getting hands-on in your passionate area i.e writing. The quality time is either early morning before 8 AM or after 8 PM whichever works for you. You need to choose a time when you are mostly undisturbed and also your mind is fresh. Spend little bit of quality time regularly on a daily basis without fail and make continuous incremental progress. Publish your writings, get feedback and keep improving & producing more writings. Establish good readers, writers and publishers circle. This needs to be done without impacting the academics much. Because, academics is going to be a fallback option in your career in case if your passionate area doesn't fly well.
When you choose your higher studies, carefully choose a course which can make use of your writing skills. My belief is that unless you make your primary profession work in your passionate area, you cannot realize the fullest potential you hold.

In a nutshell, take care of your core academics/profession as a fallback option in your career while spend little quality regularly in your passionate area with the objective of making it your primary career.

Samura - சமுர You get full freedom to think and write. It has no boundaries and restrictions. Your mind is occupied with creative thinking. You create your own imaginary world and live there.
Samura - சமுர I am working on 3 projects currently.

Planning to release all of them before end of 2017
Samura - சமுர You write to capture your thoughts and ideas to share with millions of people. Each story itself is like a baby which is going to live for generations to come.
To me "Writing is giving life to Ideas to come to real"
Samura - சமுர I generally get ideas for my book from two sources,
1. Fiction - Just by observing Incidents that happened around me and later connecting it with my story
2. Fantasy - Something that strikes me by connecting two unrelated incidents especially when my mind think subconsciously during driving, walking, being alone.
