D.M. Murray Hey Thomas, the present story is will be three novels, with a planned novella to take place in the timeline between Too Cold To Bleed (book 2) and the A’s yet untitled book 3.

I’ve a couple of planned prequels, and won’t rule out another series in the future - provided book 3 isn’t a total bloodbath...
D.M. Murray At this point in time I feel the most relevant answer would be: Who in the hells ate my chocolate orange?!
D.M. Murray Honestly, I wonder myself! Probably, this has just been the influence of a life of reading, movies and such like. You write what you like to read, and so, I guess what I've been reading at the time tends to influence to an extent also.
D.M. Murray The stories nag at me if I'm not writing. I love the process, so really I don't need inspiration to sit down and do it. I have a full-time career outside of writing, so inevitably I come home some nights exhausted and writing would not be productive. I learned a few years ago to just let that pass and not to beat myself up for not sitting down and writing. When I am ready to write, I'll make up for it.
D.M. Murray I'm writing the follow ups (Book 2 and 3) in the Red Season Series. I'm also working on a smaller, literary piece which I will work on in moments when I have had enough of the Red Season world.
D.M. Murray This is clichéd, but 'write'. A writer has to write, not talk about writing. The more you write, the better you will get. Find a routine that works for you, and be disciplined.
D.M. Murray Being able to build the story, the world, the characters. I just find the whole process fascinating.
D.M. Murray I try two different techniques. At first, I'll take myself away and do some exercise or complete another task. It can help to simply let the plot issues or the 'blockage' to be cleared up in the back of the mind. If that doesn't work I try to just get any old creative juices flowing, so I write down a couple of dozen words, mix them up, and select about 5, then spend 15 minutes writing a short piece about anything, as long as it has those 5 words. It tends to get the machine parts running!
