My advice would be to write as much as possible and to do anything you can to distract yourself from your self-criticism while you are starting projects or coming up with ideas. I try to stay away from typing on a computer until I have a pretty good idea of what I want to write because it makes me want to edit everything before I've fully formed my ideas.

I usually try to go somewhere new and relaxing. I see if anything around me is interesting and I write it down along with any dialogue that intrigues me. Usually, I am able to look at these notes later and they will give me ideas.
