At the moment, I have a brainstorming cluster of a few ideas that have been floating around in my head. I'm just going to see where they take me.

The initial idea came long before I began writing, from a character in another novel, actually. It wasn't until later that I put it into motion. I was inspired to write 'Finding Gus' during my brief time living in Nashville. I noticed that a lot of the people I met were at a crossroad between staying in town and chasing a dream, or moving back home where their family was. I had friends who were thriving on the city life and others who had the homesick blues. I wanted to portray both sides and thought that showcasing that through a friendship worked nicely.
