Stacy R. Collins I just force myself to sit down and jot out ideas. Sometimes they work with my current work in progress and sometimes I save them for later works. If I'm stuck in a spot in my book, I just step back and take a break for a few days. I reread what I've already written and just hope inspiration hits me. I've yet to deal with a serious case of writers block, so my answer is subject to change.
Stacy R. Collins Being able to express my creativity and share it with others. Writing is my way of escaping reality, it gives me a chance to get lost in someone else's world, even if it is one I created.
Stacy R. Collins I would have to say, don't give up. If it's what you love to do, don't let anything stop you. Write everyday, even if it's just for yourself.
Stacy R. Collins Right now I am working on a fantasy series, that I'm pretty sure will be titled, The Gatekeepers.
Stacy R. Collins I have always loved writing. I remember writing short stories in elementary school and sharing them with my friends, but it was just a hobby until recently. There are days when I just don't want to write, so I don't. I take a break if I need it, but sometimes I just get in a funk and I have to force myself to pick up that pen and paper, but once I do, the words just start flowing. Then, there are days when all I want to do is write. Maybe I saw a person who reminded me of one of my characters, or a line in a song made me think of a scene in my book. Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to look for it.
Stacy R. Collins This is a hard one to answer. One day my daughter and I were making up little fairytales and she tells me, "You should write a book." So I sat down that evening trying to come up with an idea for a book and just kept coming up blank. Later that evening I watched this commercial online about accidents caused from texting and driving and I just kind of ran with the idea.
