Dina Alexander Right now I'm reading Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America by Ibram X. Kendi, and rereading We Should all be Feminists and The End of Patriarchy. These are heavy books--frustrating and depressing at time.
But I'm looking for book suggestions with a little less reality or a lot more levity.
Dina Alexander A couple of years ago I heard a talk by Russell M. Nelson called" Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives." I was moved and inspired, to say the least. I realized that there was not a kid-friendly, straight forward resource for children to learn about receiving, understanding, and acting on personal revelation. Thus, my book This is the Spirit of Revelation began to take shape.

As I researched for this book, I came upon another amazing talk by Sheri Dew entitled, "Will You Engage in the Wrestle?" Again, I realized there was not a great resource for kids to learn about and understand that having questions does not make one a "doubter." Questions are good! We need to ask questions about God, about life, the environment, politics, sex, love--everything! Questions, especially gospel questions are essential to building a testimony of God and Jesus Christ. I want kids to know this.
Dina Alexander I am often inspired by current events and what I see as a lack of practical resources for families living in the digital age. When I see a need, I want to understand it and address it!
Dina Alexander Right now I am working on a book for Latter-day Saint/Christian kids about priesthood power for girls and boys.

I am also working on a book about radical feminism for kids.

(And no, these two topics are not mutually exclusive.)
