Do what Churchill did. Apply the seat of my pants top the seat of the chair. Once I stared at the screen and started growling and eventually ended up shouting at myself but nothing happened so I went for a run. The second time, really depressed in a state of black dog, I started writing stream of consciousness stuff, saved it and came back to it a week later when I'd recovered a bit and forgotten what I'd written, and found I'd blamed bananas - apparently for not eating enough of them.
