I'm putting the finishing touches on A Piper's Verse, the counterpart to A Piper's Song. It is mix of short stories and narrative poetry planned for release on the 10-year anniversary of my first novel, Darkness Watches. I'm also putting the narrative poetry from the book to music and working on adding video visuals to some of the stories.

I just start writing. About anything. I recently found a notebook from several years ago where I wrote half a page about a spider watching me. It was just hanging out on my living-room wall while I sat on the sofa struggling to write a coherent sentence very early into another story I was working on. I ended up shelving that novel, and my scribbles about that spider ended up as a short story.
