Timothy Balding Goodness gracious me! Fergus old chap! One of the teenage Valpy Street gang who terrorized the local council and peace-loving citizens in the early 70s. And there you were hiding in plain sight all these years. Well, well. So nice to hear from you, here in the depths of the French provinces. Timothy Balding Harry Haller and Hermione, in Hesse's 'Steppenwolf'. "The miracle had happened. I had found a human being once more and a new interest in life," he says of her. They are 'kindred spirits, equals, lovers and friends', as a critic remarked.

Timothy Balding I don't suffer from it. Which is not to say that I do not have periods when I am barren of words and ideas. The important thing is to know yourself and to understand the time it takes you to renew and refresh your creativity.
