Thank you ! <3 I'm so glad you enjoyed the interview!
As for making up characters, they tend to come to me at the most random time. It could be a word I hear that triggers an idea, or sometimes they just sort of poof into my brain in the middle of a task, like cleaning :)

Thank you for reading the Dixie Reapers! I'm so glad you've enjoyed the series :)
There is actually a reading order/timeline through book 13 on the Dixie Reapers page of my website. You can find it here: https://harleywylde.com/wp-content/up...
There is also a list of the Reapers marriages and kids up through Saint's story. I haven't had a chance to update it since then, but you can find file here: https://harleywylde.com/wp-content/up...
Hopefully I'll get a chance to update those sometime soon.

OMG!!! Thank you so much from all the readers who would appreciate this kind of details. I am such a huge fan of your writing that I am becoming obsessed with every relationship and their happily-ever-afters. The way you manage to tell a story and manage to pack it with so many sensual encounters in the right amount of pages is certainly a magic trick only you can pull off.

Short answer -- anywhere you want :) But the Dixie Reapers MC was my first series of biker romances, and the first place Scratch and some other Boneyard characters were introduced. You can really jump in about anywhere.

I try to write each book so it can be read as a stand-alone, however, there is a chronological order to my books with the series overlapping. You can find it on my website harleywylde.com under Books. If you've made it through Devil's Boneyard, I'd suggest the Dixie Reapers, as that's where the MC series started. Hades Abyss was my third series and Devil's Fury is my 4th. All of them are still on-going.

<3 thank you !! As for why some writers prefer bigger age gaps than others, I can't speak for anyone else. For me, I've always liked older men. In fact, I fully admit to watching The Christmas Chronicles (multiple times) because Kurt Russell is one fine silver fox! (Shh... don't tell Goldie, she might kick my butt for drooling over her man). I also married a guy who was in college long before I graduated from elementary school. So that's probably I tend to write romances with a noticeable age gap. Older men are just my personal preference.

Since I'm not self-published, I seriously doubt the books will go into Kindle Unlimited. In order to be part of that program, you can't have your book listed anywhere other than Amazon, not even a publisher's page. However, my books are being added to ScribD, which is also a subscription service.

Honestly? I'd travel to Hogwarts. I adore the Harry Potter books and movies. Riding Buckbeak would be at the top of my to-do list while I was there, and hanging out with Hagrid and all his creatures.

At the moment, only Badger has a story (as part of Roosters). However, there will be more Devil's Fury coming. Watch for them around summer/fall 2020.

Lupita will get a book, but she won't be part of the Dixie Reapers series. When her story comes out, it will be part of Bad Boy Romance. I have a few notes at the moment, but haven't started the actual book just yet.

Always, always, always use an editor. Whether your self-publishing or submitting your work to a publisher, I promise that first draft isn't quite as awesome as you think it is. Don't be afraid to revise your book several times (or more), and listen when more experienced writers give you constructive criticism. They aren't trying to tear you down, they're trying to improve your writing. The writing community is awesome and very supportive of one another. But you need to grow a thick skin. People will tell you things you don't want to hear, and you'll get reviews that make you want to cry. Not everyone is going to love your book, and that's okay. The world would be really dull if everyone liked the same things.
I also recommend checking out the Savvy Authors page. They offer classes that will be beneficial in your growth as a writer. Great writers ddn't become great overnight. Their craft was honed over time. But most importantly... don't give up. Like I said, all the greats didn't become the amazing authors they are in the blink of an eye. It's doubtful you'll be an overnight sensation. It might take you years, to find your audience.
The key is to keep writing, keep getting your name out there, and believe that you can achieve your dream. Is success guaranteed? No. But you'll never know if you can make it if you don't keep trying. And by trying, I don't mean that you write your book and then sit back and wait for the readers to come flocking to you. That isn't going to happen. Be ready to spend time marketing your book, whether it's through ads or free promotion. Some publishers offer marketing, but I've found that most rely on the author to do most of the work. Join groups with other authors in your genre and don't be afraid to ask what marketing they've found worked for them.

That's actually a hard question to answer because there isn't just one thing in particular that I love the most. I like being able to set my own hours, which allows me to be around more for my children. Not having to answer to a boss at work is really nice, and so is being able to work in my pajamas. The downside to being a writer is that my family is home with me all summer, and my writing time gets cut in half.

Sometimes changing from one story to another will get my creativity flowing. And then there are times my brain is telling me that it needs a break. When that happens, I spend anywhere from 1-3 days binge reading a bunch of books in my TBR pile. The few times I'm so worn down that I can't even handle reading, I end up watching something on TV that day (but I'm not a big fan of TV).
Harley Wylde
I have a few books I'm working on right now. Two will be part of the Dixie Reapers series, another will be book one in a new series called Devil's Boneyard, and I have another book in the Roosters series that is partially written.
