I have read 10 of the them and just started on number 11. I have been reading westerns since high school. Stared with my dads collection of Zane Gray then Louis LaMoure and many others but I find your writing so real and earthy a cannot but them down. Please continue to write more westerns? Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Ash Lingam Inspired by Sergio Leone films, Charles Portis and McMurtry books and the movie characters Josie Wales & Will Penny. Also reading Quentin Tarantino manuscripts and the fact that I grew up on a ranch/farm in the US with horses and ponies. Also spending seven years of my youth in Colombia on ranches playing the life as a cowboy.
I draw on real historical events and characters which occurred during the time frame set in my western novels.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Ash Lingam Being able to awake in the middle of the night and work on a dream or nightmare was that the case. That and working from where ever you wish.
