Serenity Paz This is such a funny question! Maybe my train ride into Manhattan from Queens could be the plot for a book. I always wonder about the hidden subway stops that are rumored to be opulent and no longer in use.
Serenity Paz If I had to choose just one fictional couple for a favorite, then I would choose Bella and Edward from "Twilight." I love a dramatic vampire romance! But there are so many other fictional couples that I love: Romeo and Juliet always break my heart; Bonnie and Clyde are bad a**es and I love their ride-or-die love; Janie and Tea Cake cross class lines in Zora Neale Hurston's "Their Eyes Were Watching God..." And so many more. I love a doomed romance. I love Greek tragedies. I'm a sucker for unrequited love. I love love.
Serenity Paz Thanks so much for the question! Currently I'm focused on writing interracial romances between white men of various backgrounds (like Italian, Greek, Cuban) and black women of various ethnicities (Caribbean, Latina, African-American). I love writing about love!
Serenity Paz Currently I'm working a suspense romance about what happens when a 25-year-old lawyer fakes her death to escape her $300,000 student loan debt, only to fall in love with a bad boy bachelor billionaire she can't marry, but suddenly can't live without... Does Joli Rivers run from her debt yet again? Or does she run into the gorgeous Luca Thorne's arms and face love... and the law?
Serenity Paz I've always wanted to be a writer. When I was 7 years old I wrote my first novel. I put my school picture on the back and I wrote an author's blurb thanking my family and my cat. All I've ever wanted to do with my life is write. I love it.
Serenity Paz The best thing about being a writer is sitting down and inhabiting the worlds of my characters and writing plots that challenge them to grow to their fullest potential to love. I love writing about love. I love romance!
Serenity Paz My advice to aspiring writers is to write every day. Write without editing. Just write. I think I read somewhere that Stephen King said that if you want to be a writer, then just write.
Serenity Paz I actually never get writer's block. I have an endless stream of ideas flowing through my like the Amazon River flows through South America.
Serenity Paz I day dream a lot about meeting a gorgeous, smart, kind man (who happens to be a billionaire) who wants to travel the world and read books with me... Since I went to boarding school, I decided to write a novel about what would happen if I met the CEO of a newspaper and challenged him on his company's ethics.
