Alongside came because I was in many difficult situations with family and friends and saw both good and bad expressions of care. I felt like we all could do better if we had a guidebook to help us. So that's how alongside was born. Hope in the Hard Places was born out of the same... people said "what about me? I need a book for my trial too, just like my family and friends." So I wrote that one last year and it releases March 5, 2019!

It's terrible. I try to set time away in quiet alone, and I feel like I owe it to my family to make the most of that time, so if I've dedicated time I'll get something done no matter. Just keep typing bad words, the good ones will come when you least expect it, and you can delete the others! Don't edit yourself (my biggest struggle)

Reading other authors really inspires me. We often think we don't have time to read while we're writing, but honestly, we've got to read or we can't write!

Obviously, I was not on here much, which means I was writing. I wrote a second book which releases March 5, 2019. And I am working on an outline for a 3rd book right now... bad timing, but the creative juices were flowing. Outlines are the way to begin!

For me, it's that once the content is written I can talk about it! I love to speak to live audiences, and the writing is a bit solitary and lonely for me. So written books mean more speaking with real life readers! : )

Keep writing. Little small, medium sized. And don't make it bigger in your head than it should be. write for fun and from the heart and treat it like small chunks not a huge "BOOK"... Easier that way.
