Thank you for the question. I am going to go way back on this one and say Odysseus and his wife Penelope. After fighting against Troy, his return home was delayed for 10 years by Poseidon. Both remained faithful, despite his enemies trying to convince Penelope to marry. It was their fierce determination and intelligence which overcame the many challenges and saw them reunited.

There is a lot of help out there now for self-publishers so I would say just do it! I am actually writing some self-publishing advice on my blog http://brianference.com/blog where I discuss my own self publishing journey which could be quite helpful for aspiring writers.

I really enjoy the creative aspect of it although I also enjoy the challenge of researching a certain aspect of the time period or location as you can learn quite a lot of new information that you would have never been motivated to learn otherwise.

I have never really suffered from writer's block my entire life (knock on wood). I have always taken the approach of just start writing and the words sort of flow onto the paper. The worst thing you can do is stare at a blank page for hours on end. Get something down just to start and then you can cross out or throw away the bad and keep the good. Doing nothing is really the worst thing you can do.

My next project will be the second book in the Wolf of Dorian Gray series. The second book will be titled: The Wolf of Dorian Gray – Purgatory of the Werewolf and will continue the story from the first book as well as transport Dorian to a few different countries throughout the story line.
