Christy, first let me apologize for this overlooked question - and thank you for wanting a sequel to the Creek. I have a new book coming out in July that is not a sequel (but I hope the characters resonate as deeply!) - and if I get my wish, a third book that is brewing in my mind is to unite a few of the key characters from the Creek and ALL THE LITTLE HOPES. Wouldn't that be fun?
Leah Weiss
Chuck, forgive my oversight of your great question! Right now there is no sequel planned for the Creek. I have completed a second book, ALL THE LITTLE HOPES, that will come out in July but it isn't the sequel you probably want. What I can tell you is that I hope that in a third book I'll unite some favorite characters from books 1 and 2 and give readers some answers. Does that help?

Louise - forgive my oversight of your great question! The simple answer is that I cried, cheered and ached too even as I was writing. The scene where she miscarried was especially emotional. I was on the edge of my chair wondering what was going to happen until I knew the lost baby and Sadie's lament would be the lesson Kate needed to learn. It's complicated but the characters become real to me too, and I have to honor their story. Thanks for writing. Stay tuned for my next book!

Thank you, Pamela! I am wrapping up an intense book tour year and have started my next novel in earnest. (The life of a writer isn't as free-flowing as one would think. ) Thank you for loving my first work!

Ooh -- sounds wonderful! I will certainly be checking out your suggestions!
Leah Weiss
No, I haven't heard of it. I will certainly check it out. What a fantastic, powerful title!

Edward, I got distracted and pulled away with other obligations. It remains on my "to be completed list" Did you love it?
Leah Weiss
So glad you loved the book! I’m not sure what my next project is, I have 2 in mind that I think about a lot. Stay tuned to find out which one wins!

Thanks for loving my book! My next book is mostly in my head right now. Be patient!

Kathi, I'm so thrilled you loved it. I have two projects in mind and will start working on one of them as soon as the Creek events slow down!
Leah Weiss
What a lovely compliment! I have two projects in the works (mostly in my mind) but am now spending wonderful time promoting Creek. Hopefully a year from now I will have the heart of a manuscript completed. Sadly, Jen, I can't write as fast as you read, but know I'm working on it!

Oh, Caiti - sorry I didn't check your question any sooner. And the answer is "maybe." My agent has been putting gentle pressure on me to work in that direction, and I've started. Stay tuned - and fingers crossed! And I am so glad you loved the book!

Laurie, my sincere apologies for not getting back to you and my thanks for touching base again. I will be doing a book club in Chocowinity on Wednesday, January 24. I would love to come to Williamston either the day before or after - January 23 or 25. Would one of those dates work for you? The time can be to your suiting since I will only be a 45 minute drive from the library. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello, Becky! I'm on the road leaving Nashville behind. I had such a grand time at the Southern Festival of Books. It was a pleasure meeting you - sitting on the front row - and stopping by afterwards.

Edward, thanks for writing. I do have two projects in the works, but in recent months I've only had time for the book tour. I miss writing and hope to return to it in the near future. Stay tuned!

Laurie - yes, I was! And FYI, my book was a Library Reads for August - one of the top ten books chosen by librarians, so, I agree - it should be on your shelves! I will be doing a book club visit in Chocowinity on Wednesday, January 24 and would be happy to do a reading/signing in Williamston the next day if you wanted to organize it. Are there book clubs there who could unite or we could hold the event at the library? Maybe there is a book seller close by who could provide books if anyone wanted them signed. Anyway, that is the next time I'll be in that area, and I would be honored to meet some of the community - a sort of a homecoming!

Good luck getting it! The book is a LibraryReads here in America - one of the top ten books they recommend this month, so hopefully your library will be able to help. Enjoy the read!
Leah Weiss
Well, fingers crossed, Bethea, and good luck!
