Wow, tough question. There are so many beautiful fictional worlds to travel to. I think maybe I would want to go to Buzziwog, the lovely island located in the Twinkle Teal Sea. It is a big, fun filled place with all kinds of interesting characters, a beach, a desert, mountains, valleys and gorgeous wild life and plants. What I would do there is open an Ice cream stand. I love ice cream cones! I would have every flavor ever made and all of the cones would have three scopes with a cherry on top!

I stop trying to write, it is futile if I am brain-blocked.
I go to the beach or to the pool and do NOTHING for a few hours.
I draw spirals on paper in different colors.
I close the computer and go do something FUN to recharge my energy, most of the time writers block is due to loss of ability to be creative. Hour upon hour of sitting at a computer or desk drains the body, mind and spirit....get away from it for a bit - even a day or so. When you come back it will be refreshingly good.

It has been said that one should write about something he knows about - a subject you have knowledge of. For me, I like to learn something new all the time. I am a perpetual student of life, so I look for new things to gain knowledge of. What interests you? What lights a fire in your imagination or soul? That is what to write about.

Mark Mulvaney Adventures Series. Young Mark has quite an knack for finding himself steeped into mystery and mayhem. In book two of the series Mark meets classmates with similar interests. The group becomes a team and the adventures get a bit more intense.

I begin by finding something that interests me. I research it and see if that research branches off into more research of other things. If it does, I write down all of the things that intrigue me and kind of mentally "stew" on it for a while to see if anything boils to the top in the form of a story :)

From many sources. Life gives me inspiration daily. Much of the research I did into other worldly entities, physics, metaphysical gifts, psychic gifts, etc were all a part of the core to the plot. I also read old legends, myths, tales and fables from my ancestors and those helped me focus on the underlying theme of the series.
