Erica Graham I open the door to let them in then put them in writing.
Erica Graham Inspiration often comes at very unexpected times. When I do sit down to write, I like to find a quiet place. I rarely begin a writing session without a pen, notebook, and a hot cup of tea.
Erica Graham Just write. You will have good ideas and some not so good ideas. Write, then get multiple people to read your work and provide honest feedback before publishing. If you decide to self publish, hire an editor. Above all else, enjoy what you do. When you have fun writing, the readers will have fun reading.
Erica Graham I love that I am able to support caregivers and other therapist as they help children with speech development. In addition to promoting speech development, I hope that above all else, these books provide children and their caregivers an opportunity to spend time together and enjoy reading.
Erica Graham Walk away and do something fun. The more I sit and try to struggle through a writer's block, the more difficult and frustrating it becomes. When I step away and find something that completely takes my mind off writing, it helps me to clear my head. The best ideas tend to come when I am not thinking about writing.
Erica Graham Each of my books have been inspired by everyday events in my life. Ideas often arise during the least expected times such as playing with my kids, driving, or even doing work around the house. I always make sure to carry a notebook with me because I never know when a new idea for a story will pop into my head.
Erica Graham My first three books target the "r", "s", and "t" speech sounds. I look forward to releasing future books targeting other sounds in order to help more children with their speech development.
