Maybe because most of my reading has been about England and Ireland in the 1800's, I feel at home in that locale and time period. Furthermore, I feel that I may have lived there then. I don't seem to connect with royalty but with servants in my reading. My feelings are so strong that I finally visited England, Ireland and Scotland in 2014. I saw several castles, which were neat, but I was more impressed by the thatched cottages! From reading about the reality of life in a cottage, or even a castle, I know that neither abode was very comfortable!

I had never planned to write a book. Last year I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Bedtime was not my friend. I did not want to face my true feelings. Surprisingly this story(RUNNER) popped into my head every night. I would have to turn the light back on and write it all down. More importantly, the main character I created gave me the strength I needed to combat my disease. The proceeds from the book will go towards my medical expenses.
