Kirk Burris Sometimes I don't. I take a break. I try to find new inspiration, or jump to a different project. I think writing in different genres helps keep it fresh for me as an author, and thereby delivers fresh content to the readers. If I'm enjoying it, they will.
Kirk Burris I have three projects in the works! In the first will be the immediate follow up to 12 PILLS. I have so much confidence that you'll love Agent Whelan, I've started working on his next case. No spoilers yet, but it promises to take you on a psychological odyssey.
Kirk Burris Reading other great works, or seeing a film with an amazing screen play. Even television. There are so many great shows across all the platforms now. I'll never be able to watch them all. TV writing is better than ever.
I'm also interested in so many genres. I think more and more, readers are learning to adapt to "multi-genre" writing. I hate pigeon-holing myself. We aren't like that in reality, why should writing be limited?
Kirk Burris My fans! After Breaking Sandcastles "teaser" murder mystery within a love story, many asked me for a true, hard core murder mystery. 12 PILLS has it, plus the wit and great characters that you've come to expect.
