I have had the idea for the characters of Ellington and Winston Martini since 2000, but their latest version emerged once I started writing in 2015 when I came across a deathbed confession of an elderly woman online where she told such outlandish conspiracy theories about U.S. history I thought it would make a perfect DaVinci Code-style plotline.
