Watch for my third book, "Sagebrush and the Smokejumper," which will be out in September 2017. This book was inspired by last years Hayden Pass Fire that occurred about ten miles from my home. That summer I watched my community come together in ways you might not imagine. It is a true privilege and inspiration to live in a community where there is an abundance of kind-hearted, good natured souls.

The idea of The Shuns came to me some years ago in a dream. At that time in my life I was embarking on my own adventure to build a house on a sizeable piece of land that had never been lived upon. I had a dream about tiny people called Shuns who are very shy and live in hollowed out tree hollows. The dream was very vivid and something I never forgot. In my dream, the only people who had ever inhabited that piece of land were the Shuns. They are the inspiration behind my newest book, "Sagebrush Meets the Shuns."
