Cynthia Mackey For Butterfly Sea, my next picture book, inspiration came from my experiences with my first camera and my work as a volunteer butterfly seeker, documenting butterflies in British Columbia as a citizen scientist. The sibling story is inspired by my work with children as a nature preschool educator.
