Nothing special really. I do most of my writing "sober." While some experienced cannabis users write under the plant's influence, for the most part I use it as an idea "jump-starter." Then I come back to the work with fresh inspiration and a kit bag of ideas to develop and refine.

(view spoiler)[An idea began to form several years ago that while the use and legal recognition of cannabis are spreading rapidly around the world, one capability of the plant—some would say its most powerful capability—had not been getting the attention it deserves. This under-appreciated capability is that cannabis has an ancient and widespread history of spiritual use. With wise and skillful use, the potential of the sacred herb as a spiritual healing and awakening ally is much deeper than most people are aware of.
When I began to get encouragement for this vision from some remarkable friends and colleagues, I decided to gather together knowledgeable and influential voices to share this timely message.
