My apologies Christine. Although I log in most days, I did not see your question till now.
It took me four years to write and publish my book with a lot of stops and starts! Sometimes I just had to take a big break.
My blog is a lot easier to manage as we can schedule posts ahead of time. I like to be a few weeks in advance in case I am feeling a bit poorly.
I love interacting with my readers and have made lots of supportive friends.
Thankfully, my health is fairly stable nowadaysand I am enjoying life.

I tend to feel blocked if I am tired. I try to keep a balance between my writing time and my self care time. Its important to have breaks from writing to recharge those creative batteries!

I find writing incredibly therapeutic. It helps me to express my creativity and it also becomes an addiction!

Link up with other writers through the internet, writers groups ... Just keep writing, and perhaps create a blog first as a platform for marketing that book you are going to write in the future,

I get inspired by Nature and find I write with ease when I spend time outside in my garden, or walking in Donegal's beautiful landscape.

It is my memoir so the idea was there for some time. However, I got the push to write it after entering a memoir writing competition back in summer 2012.
