Dale East Lot's of writers fight that blank screen. I think the more you fight it the worse it gets. Rather than resisting the idea that you can't think of anything to write, just write.

There are a lot of times that I'll write about the fact that I can't think of anything to write about. Once I've been writing for five or ten minutes, the ideas are usually starting to flow.

I'll repeat something I said earlier because I think it's important. Not just for writing but for anything we take on.

Just write and then write some more. The inspiration you're looking for is a by product, a result of the action you took when you just decided to write.

That's how I deal with writers block. Sometimes I'll write about anything for ten minutes or longer. However long it takes, the ideas will eventually start to flow.
Dale East I think the best thing is, once you've written something and it's published, you are now in a very small group of people. You have put something on paper that will be there for many years to come. You have left a piece of your heart and soul for others to view.

When you write you put yourself out there. That forces you to go through a process of personal growth that will influence you the rest of your life. Writing and then publishing is one of the best personal development courses you can ever undertake.
Dale East If you want to be a writer, then just write. Write everyday and every chance you get. Remember that repetition is a master skill so the more you do it, the better you get at it.

Also the more you write, the more in tune you will get with your inner writer and the better the content you write will get.

One last thing, take time to go back and read your writing out loud. The goal is to write and have if read like you're having a conversation with a friend. People don't want to read technical text book writing. People want to read writing that has a conversational style and is easy to read.
Dale East Sometimes I don't get inspired. So those are the times when I just sit down and write. It doesn't matter what I write about as long as I write. It's called free writing and some of my best ideas and inspiration have come from doing these writing exercises. Most people think they have to be inspired to do something. I think that inspiration comes from doing.
Dale East I just published the paperback version of Intentional Thinking and now I'm working to find the way I can serve my readers best. So I'll be adding some private coaching and a virtual course to the mix very soon.
Dale East This book kind of evolved over the period of several years. I'd always wanted to create something that would make a difference, a positive impact in peoples lives.

I finally found the answers and the techniques I'd been looking for most of my life and I knew this was it. This was something I needed to share with the world and the book became a reality.
