If you can dream it, you can create it. Period. Have an idea, focus, crowd fund if needed (I did.). Do not let anything stop you. At 37, I'm sad to admit money has always stopped me and through community I was able to create my dream. The intention of My Little Light books is to share all of the incredible benefits of yoga for children to families everywhere and I believe with effort and action this is possible.

I have the second My Little Light written only in my mind but I have every image and the entire story. That is all I will say... :-)

I get inspired to write when I am meditating. Because I'm a stay at home mom there's a lot of chaos... um energy around me all of the time and even if it's at its peak sometimes I just STOP, pause, breathe in breathe out 5 times and there I find some clarity. I really get most ideas from those breaks in challenges.

I was a full time yoga teacher in NYC until the birth of my first daughter. I became very consumed with motherhood and teaching took a big back seat. We relocated to South Florida to be near family and then our second daughter was born. I am a full time stay at home mom (teaching a couple of weekly yoga classes because I love it) and this book was born of a desire to create some'thing' out of my passions, out of what my life IS now... I found my artist Nova Stanley because her mother (a college friend) would post her artwork on social media and I knew she was the perfect artist for this. Though she just turned 13 her talent and work ethic allowed My Little Light to come to life.
