I start doing research. I don't like wasting my time, sitting there and staring at a white screen. There is always something that needs to be done. Or, I just write something else, even if it's not the book I am currently working on. There are always conversations playing out in my head.

I am currently working on a contemporary set in the 1940s on an island in the Indian Ocean. It's a male POV, written about his struggle to help his disabled wife. Really tragic.

Looking Back on Forever was inspired by The Killers, "Miss Atomic Bomb." I absolutely love that song, and the story behind it had me itching to write this book.
