The only way to become a published writer is to finish what your start. Too many people give up along the way. Its O.K. to be horrible too. The first things you write are not going to be good. Most authors write a lot of stories before their words are worth publishing. My first books were embarrassing, but I learned from them and got better.

I take time away from the block. Usually there are three or four major projects going on at once. I rotate from one to another whenever I get stuck. This gives me something fresh and exciting to work on while I figure out a way to get around the block.
