Kerry Birds
As a working mother, most aspects of my life are scheduled or prescribed, BUT NOT BOOKS! And I suppose that's some of the attraction of reading. I generally bumble from one book to the next and I read to fit my mood. If I'm feeling pretty relaxed I opt for psychological fiction; if I'm stressed I read easy-going romance; sometimes I steer away from the fiction and geek out with a bit of science.
I attend two reading groups (one at the local library and another at a local independent bookshop). I get the odd thing from Bookbub and I'm always on the lookout for indie authors to support. Every year I'm lured into at least one unforeseen series. So, really, it's a surprise. That said, Flowers for Algernon is waiting in my cupboard and I'll undoubtedly read Into the Water in the near future too.
Any recommendations......
