I love the feedback from readers! It makes all the hard work and the trepidation of putting your work out there when someone falls in love with it. When readers take the time to reach out and tell you that they identified with the characters, or could not put the book down, or felt like they were immersed in a new world... it makes a writer's day!!!

My greatest asset in my writing journey was having a partner! Therefore, my best advice is to link up to someone you already know who is or wants to become an author... or reach out and find someone to help from Goodreads. Michelle was ahead of me in the process and I learned so much from her and eventually we both were able to gain a lot of experience as we went through the process of writing and publishing our novels. We met weekly for nearly a year (which really hold you accountable) as we reviewed and edited each others books. We attended a writers conference together, which can be another great place to meet a kindred spirit.

This is actually a pretty cool answer. The idea for Groupie first came when I worked at the outpatient PT facility at University of Kentucky. We had a very famous patient come in for treatment after having knee surgery. I can't give away his identity due to the laws, but he was a very popular boy in a band... He was brought in for therapy after hours so that he could remain anonymous and not be mobbed by fans. He did receive extra special attentions from his doctor and therapist, but it made me realize that even superstars are vulnerable when they need medical attention!
