I follow the muse. When ideas come or parts of the story come, I stop and write it down or record it in my Notes on my phone. I don't really have a set methodology for achieving inspiration. I find it comes at different times and I attempt as best I can to allow that to flow freely when it does.

I love the programs where I am able to talk with children about how to write, how to overcome obstacles, and we dance together. To be able to influence and encourage these children in a positive way is what makes being a writer absolutely fantastic!

I put away my work for a time and find some other creative pursuit or simply allow myself to rest for a while by taking a drive, a walk, reading, etc. before returning to my work. I don't force myself when it will not come.

Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. I've always loved how Jane Austen portrays the relationship. They have an attraction, which they want to pretend does not exist due to their preconceived notions and beliefs about the other. She weaves their individual stories in and out of the story of the two combined so that they learn of the other's true character, realize they cannot be apart from each other and truly live.
