Gosh, this was such a tough question! Without sounding too sappy, I loved the relationship between Katniss and Peeta in The Hunger Games. They grew close in the midst of traumatic events and chaos, and continued to be drawn to each other over and over again. I feel like this is so true to life, because it's not always the flashy, over-the-top romances that last or prove the strongest, but more so the slow and steady ones.

I go to the gym and pound it out on the elliptical, while watching a show on Netflix or listening to music. I usually come up with something after that. I also like to read other books and journal on what's missing in them, or how I could improve its message.

The best thing about being a writer is that so many people want to become one, so they admire you and ask your advice on everything. I also love the freedom it affords me to make money while I'm sleeping, plus the kids are incredibly proud to tell their friends that their mom is a published author.

Develop a routine. I get up everyday at 5am to write, and I write for two hours. If I have time during the day, I grab my laptop and steal away to Starbucks for a few hours and get more done. But if you don't develop a consistent writing routine, it's difficult to find your 'groove' and hit important word count goals. Also, just do it! Don't stress about making it perfect. There's always a chance for editing later.

I'm currently working on a book of real life advice and strategies for women in corporate roles or entrepreneurs on how to navigate as a woman. I'm also working on a planner, and a book that I'm writing with my husband and our five children on blending a family.

I get inspired by listening to music, watching uplifting movies and reading other books. Danielle Laporte is one of my favorites, as is Brene Brown.

My book is completely based on my crazy childhood and the behaviors of my mother who suffered from Borderline Personality Disorder. I was told a number of times over the past 15 years that I should write a book about all that I experienced, because some of the stories are just so far-fetched!
