The story of Nick and Jenna came to me back in the Spring when a hometown football coach left for another team (a rival team). My husband was giving me the details of his coaching past and an idea formed. It blossomed as more details were released in social media.

I get inspired to write by small details in snippets of conversations that I hear. Or pictures that I see. Every detail then becomes this elaborate story that needs to unfold.

I haven't experienced much about being a writer since I am a new author, but so far, interacting with the readers and experiencing my story through their eyes has been pretty exciting!

I deal with writer's block by actually reading. It helps clear my mind of my characters, and you never know when a word or phrase will spark my imagination.
