Mostly, I try not to worry about it. When I try to just sit down and write I seldom come up with anything good. As I talked about in another question, my short stories just kind of appear. So I wait patiently until they do and then write them down as fast as possible.

I am working on three more collections of short stories at the moment.
The first is called "More Tails". It grew out of a writing project I started on Tumblr. I asked my followers to tag me in a picture that they wanted me to write a short story about. I used these as writing exercises to strengthen and hone my writing skills. And they are some very naughty stories. The book will be a collection of these short short stories.
The second one is "Tail of Jane and Sarah". The book tells the story of Jane and Sarah, two women who become sisters to each other and little girls to their Daddy. Like "Kitten's Tail", the book is a series of vignettes from the characters' lives. It is about half way finished.
The third one is "Little One's Tail". The book tells the story of Little One and her Daddy. Because they live a long way apart, they only get to see each other on special occasions. The stories are a series of vignettes from these visits. This book is also about half way finished.

This is kind of a funny question to me. I rarely get inspired to write. Most often I just have this fully formed idea for a short story that is compelling me to write it down. The story, "Kitten Gets Tied", alludes to how my writing process works. And in one long burst I write the whole thing down.

"Kitten's Tail" began life as a way of explaining what I was looking for in a relationship in a different way, by showing what a day in our life might be like. And from there it kind of just grew. I had a lot of people tell me how much they liked the story and so I kept writing them.
