Nick Swyft There are lots of little mysteries, which often turn into short stories, which may themselves morph into a novel. Here's one. Why is it that when you have a vivid dream, the memory of it fades so fast? is it simply the effect of the way memory works, or are there forces at work that don't want you to remember?

The former implies a career, together with deadlines imposed by others, an eye on the bank balance... the latter requires that you have a steady income frm elsewhere, hopefully a not too onerous day job. Then you can enjoyr yourself. Maybe no one will read your work, but then why do you want to write in the first place?
