Matthew F. Winn You know, I never remember. On this one, Shadowman, I wrote a two page piece just about a mood and then shelved it while working on other projects. When I broke it out again a story was there.

Matthew F. Winn I am currently working on Shadowman (75,000 words in first draft so far) which is a atypical horror story getting me back to my creative roots. it is a period piece that spans 2 centuries in early America with some historic elements added making the research drag on!

Matthew F. Winn I am usually working on several projects at one time so I will bounce between them when blocked on one. Also, READ! I read when I am blocked to free my mind of my own and often I find that within a page or two I have worked out the block. I also write short stories or poetry during these periods because you should always be writing something!
