In my freshman year of college I received prank phone calls from somebody with a deep voice. I didn't think much of it because the calls always happened around 1 a.m. and I figured it was one of my perpetually drunk friends messing with me. After I moved into a new dorm with a new phone number, the calls stopped. About a year later when I was a sophomore, I started getting the calls again. When my phone number changed and I moved into an apartment, they stopped for about 4 months before picking right back up where they left off. I became insanely curious as to who was and started conversing with the guy, but I never found out. who he was... he hung up every time I asked. The conversations continue to start and stop at about the same time every year and then when I graduated I thought I was done with them for good. I had a fun camp fire story to share with people since it had been going on for about 4 years.
I received my last prank call several years after college and the man on the other end said: "I saw you at the library last night...." That's all he said, and then he hung up. I was chilled. The library was directly across the street from my apartment in Colorado (I graduated from Western Michigan University).
I still don't know who he was and I never heard from him again. Why that happened and how could be a really fun story. Maybe I will be called again after posting this, and that would be kind of exciting and wild as long as he doesn't want to kill me. That would be a bummer.l because we had some good talks.

I have two projects going right now. The second book in the Glass Lands series, and a completely new book about a family man who talks to angels.

This one's easy, go do something mindless. I like to exercise. During the writing of Glass Lands, I kayaked and jogged most every day. The fresh air and sights of animals going about their daily business freed my mind to wander. Eventually, my daydreaming would lead me back to the scene giving me trouble. I'd then talk myself through it and usually return with the next scene half-written in my head.

The idea came to me years ago when cameras went up at a local park and at traffic lights. What if people could see into our minds too?
