Robby Silk Read as much as and as often as you can. Make sure you read books that are also outside of your comfort zone as well. There is nothing better than being well rounded in the different styles that exist. Once you have thoroughly read start writing and practicing as often as you can. I also recommend reading The Anatomy of Story, which is an amazing book that breaks down the elements of writing a story with exercises to follow. Most importantly find your most own voice in its most honest state. Writing should be natural and copying other styles will come off as stilted and unnatural. People need to fall in love with you and how your stories are naturally built.
Robby Silk I am currently working on outlining the next books in my Adventures of RJ the Mouse series and reviewing an old novel that I never published.
Robby Silk My idea first came from the series of bedtime stories that I tell my son. I wanted to capture them in a written form so that I can always share them with my children. The ideas around the story grew from real life inspirations and in particular the life of Dr. Oliver Sacks a prolific doctor in his own right and inspiration in my life.
