In which investigations have you participated? BTW, it's ARINC (Aeronautical Radio, Inc), not AIRINC. They are headquartered in Annapolis and were bought by Rockwell-Collins a few years ago. Herbert Hoover Jr. started it. He was a ham.
Les Abend Thanks for pointing out the ARINC error. Editorial mistake. I participated as a critical incident stress management advisor for our union accident investigation team as a party to the AA 587 crash.

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Les Abend Well, the mystery in my life is what I want to be when I grow up. But as an author, most of my ideas for mystery plots originate from snippets of experiences through myself or other people. Creativity and a warped imagination are my best resources.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Les Abend Can't really say that I have experienced actual writer's block...but I do get distracted easily. Deadlines are my best friend.

How do you get inspired to write?
Les Abend Always have enjoyed the challenge of putting words on paper since I was a kid. Very gratifying when I actually like what I wrote.
