The Final Tipping Point, due out officially in early fall, is a continuation of the story of Detective Parker Havenot, formerly a Philadelphia homicide detective and now working for the Connecticut State Police.

I simply set aside the time and sit down and start to write. I don't believe in waiting for inspiration; a writer has to supply his or her own.

I can honestly say that this is not a problem I have experienced. I always try to end a writing session with notes that tell me where I was going had I continued to write in that session. So, the next time I sit down to write, the notes start me in the right direction.
