I've always had a fondness for ducks. Each Spring, Mallard ducks would always find a way to my home no matter where I lived in the Toledo area. I imagined that their quacks were a response to anything that I would tell them. One time, when I lived in a three-storey apartment building, a pair of ducks made their way to the roof. They took up residence and every morning, they would look down at me as I got into my car. I would ask them how they were and they always politely answered with a couple of quacks.

I am planning to write a children's book about Bullfrogs this year and a bio about a chef from Cicero, Illinois for children, as well. Right now I am letting thoughts about these two "future" books swirl around in my head.
