I'd keep writing and reading, and would find my mind wandering in all kinds of directions until I could re-focus. Drinking coffee, going for a walk, staring at a blank wall, looking at pictures, surfing the web and making to-do lists all seemed to help.

There are so many! I love research and asking questions, so on the whole I found the journey really positive. My dream is to be a full-time writer funded through sales - it's a dream and I've started the journey

It is tough! I've learned a lot over these few years and how I would do things differently. It's really important to have (or have the means to develop) a voice and a platform to promote your book. Be prepared to financially invest in the production of your book.

(view spoiler)[I vividly remember the night I was first inspired. My family and I, along with a group of students, were attending a worship service on the Coral Coast; a most beautiful stretch of coastline on Fiji's main island of Viti Levu.
The inspiration remains as clear today as it was back in 2014. God inspired me with this most profound challenge: "write a book, and let people know that I am not a God of war, I am a God who loves". For the next three years this became my passion.

I became familiar with critics of faith to understand their perspective and I reflected on the lives and teachings of many people who inspire me. I read through the Bible in various formats and translations, read books and went through years of notes from Bible class. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[The original idea is fairly simple: to write about the character of God, to even defend the character of God. Many people have views of God that do not present the full picture of who God is, and often these views portray God in the negative. I wrote this book as a response to this situation. To promote, and to advocate.
As I got deeper in to my research it became clear that there is a direct link between personal identity and how we view God. So in many ways, this is also a book that explores identity and looks to develop personal identity.
