I love David Eddings, so I would travel into the world he created in The Elenium. I'd join Sparhawk's quest to save and protect his Queen. Eddings does a fantastic job of weaving characters, humor, and plot together to spin a world I find fascinating. I think it'd be cool to go on his adventures.

For me, the best thing about being a writer is the joy of bringing all the characters, worlds, and situations from my imagination to life. It's soothing and passionate all at once. Of course, I love setting my own schedule, but it's still one that I strictly adhere to. I'm just my own boss, this way!

No matter what, I write something every day. Even if it's just a sentence or two that I know are terrible and will likely be deleted. Doing this every day keeps me in the routine of sitting down to write, and eventually, you will break through what's blocking you from writing good content. I'm a firm believer in sticking to a schedule, no matter what. There have been days, I've only written a paragraph. And then deleted it the next day. But, the important thing is that I sat down to write in the first place.

I had just wrapped up an intensely dramatic book and was in the process of querying agents and publishers. One day, I was just so tired of thinking about that and my mind began to wander towards topics that were more lighthearted. The idea of a vampire who was terrible at being a vampire popped into my head and I immediately started cracking up. From that moment on, I knew I had to write it.
