Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Grant Hamilton I took everything I love about fantasy and put it into the one book!! I love the characters and how they are developing!!

How do you get inspired to write?
Grant Hamilton My inspiration/drive comes from my son Gregory who has autism. I want to succeed so he has a better life once me and my wife are gone. I also have a passion for creating so took both my drive to help my son and passion for creating and BOOM!!!

What are you currently working on?
Grant Hamilton I am working on book 2 of the Heroes of Karth series: The Rise of the Necromancers!!

I am loving it so far..

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Grant Hamilton Have a plan and then when it is sketched out just focus on flow and story and circle back later (once main first run of story is done) and ask is setting good, is idea clear, how are characters developing.. etc.. Then tweak and nip and tuck..

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Grant Hamilton When I write it is very entertaining for me. I see everything visually and the story spills out in front of me. Best thing is I am the first to see it unfold!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Grant Hamilton I do not worry about writing style at first and just focus on the flow and storyline. The many rounds of edits come later.
