Hmmm probably how I've chosen to deal and cope with the difficulties of being a type one diabetic, accepting it as a part of who I am and how it has affected me personally as well as within my relationships.

Right now I'm pretty much just focused on the marketing of my first book, getting it into the hands of the people who will benefit from it the most. However, I have a huge never ending collection of poetry and writings that could easily turn into another book. Also I may be starting up my blog again just to help myself stay grounded and share some enlightenment in the process. Please visit www.rawlewloves.com for more info!

My advice for aspiring writers is to wholeheartedly believe in yourself. Even when things are uncertain or may appear irrational to others, stick to what you believe in. Also be open to criticism. As writers and artists we tend to be really sensitive about our work, which comes with a strong belief in believing in what you're portraying but we still must be open to the opinions of others. As much as we may love reading our stuff, we don't want to be the only ones that enjoy it.

When I have writer's block, sometimes I'll identify it as just that and take some of the pressure off of myself for feeling the need to write at that moment. Other times I'm aware that it comes from having way too many thoughts going through my head at once, so in those instances I'll just write any and everything that's on my mind without any type of structure, theme or writing style. Sometimes that's some of my best work, and other times it's a complete mess. Either way it's beneficial.

My book "The Hidden Beauty of Emotional Instability" was inspired by my own journey through life. The ideas stemmed from my desire for freedom from my mental prison, my struggles with addiction, and wanting to completely identify with the emotions I was feeling and why. I wanted to find a way to face my truths and writing was the best way for me.

I get inspired to write by the thoughts that continuously plague my mind, the thoughts that need to be sorted out therapeutically by writing them out. I'm inspired by that sense of freedom I know I'll receive after I'm able to write exactly what I was feeling in that moment. Writing is a relief, a release of my emotions and thoughts that I desire to understand, a necessary tool in moving on.

The best thing about being a writer is when someone reads your work and says "wow, I thought I was the only person that felt that way." It's that feeling of being able to articulate thoughts that others may be feeling but not necessarily know how to put it into words. Letting people know that they're not alone with whatever they are feeling or experiencing in life.
