I am currently working on the first book of my suspense novella series entitled "Sugar Lane" which I hope to have out this fall. And I am also working on my second full length Novel "On Walnut and Kirkwood", which will be a love story. I hope to release that spring of 2018.

Write what your soul demands. I hate categorizing my writing because I don't believe that it can be defined. It can be inspirational, controversial, romantic, suspenseful, and a slew of other things all at the same time. For the most part I write stories and non-fiction that I feel the world needs to read. And my hope is that through those stories people change themselves and the world for the better. Don't write to make money and don't write to be famous. Write for the soul and write to inspire.

For me, discovering yourself in the words that you write is the best thing about being a writer. Not only are you watching your characters develop through the story but you are also able to see yourself grow because building worlds, and creating conflict, and making it real for a reader is not an easy task. But when you reach the finish line you finally feel that the blood, sweat, and tears required to bring your book to life was worth it.

I write anyway. It may not make sense but I have noticed that if I step away and journal some random thoughts it tends to open up my creative channels.
