As a lifelong funk music fan and working in several areas of the music biz I knew there was nothing out there covering this amazing genre of music. So I decided to create it. It is a huge labor of love and took me many years to complete. It is one of my great life achievements and I hope it helps spread the word about funk music and preserve it for future generations.

I have been working hard to build out my website, FUNKNSTUFF.NET. A big part of that is promoting my book as well as producing/hosting a video interview and audio podcast show called TRUTH IN RHYTHM. It goes DEEP into the stories, songs, concerts, tours, lives of the foremost masters of the groove. I want to share their important stories for fans old and new, and preserve that legacy.

Stick with it but make sure you do have something to fall back on. Just write - it is cliché but true. If you have it inside you it can't help but come out. Don't be discouraged and don't do it to get rich; do it for the right reasons and good things will come ... even if those good things are only personal fulfillment.

Being able to share your inner-most thoughts and impart unique knowledge to people who for the most part you would never otherwise be able to reach. For me it is about enlightening or helping others expand their mind, find enjoyment or become more successful. You can't beat that!

Step away from the computer and clear your head. Try taking a walk, working out, yard work, watching a movie ... anything that frees your mind from pressing too hard to put the words to the page.
