Lette What I am truly feeling inside as a person. I keep and maintain a pretty hard shell, protecting everything about me from the world.
Lette The series came from a place within, whereas I had to let a lot of stuff out. None of the events are true to life but some of the emotions felt by many of the characters (not just the sisters) are. Dealing with life, love, jealousy, betrayal, loyalty, disloyalty, death and so many other things. It was a therapy that was needed.
Lette Not sure. It just happens. There are days when I have an entire story within my head and other days when there is nothing. When I am ready to write, I just do it. If I am not in a position to get pen to paper at that time, I now carry a notepad with me and I write down thoughts as they come to me throughout the day, so that I don't lose it (which I have done countless times). This way if an idea pops in my head, I always have a hint to guide me back to that position in which I was thinking.
Lette Book 4 within the series, A Day in The Life of Them Vassar Girls. This is last in the series of the loves, trials and tribulations of this family of sisters that are a slight representation of some part of me. They all have a little bit of me in each one of them. Vernesha will be the last sister represented in this book and she is the family oriented side of me.
Lette Just write. Write what is in your heart. Write what is in your head. It may not come out as a bestseller or anything of the sort but it really is all about what you love to do. What you were born to do. So, let it out and write it down, even if you are the only one that ever sees it.
Lette It has become therapeutic for me. You can release things within your character that you yourself may not be able to say in real life. You can live out your fantasies or even someone else's fantasies with the power of a pen (or keyboard rather).
Lette Haven't quite mastered that as of yet. Sometimes it just comes to me but other times you are just lost for the right words. It seems that when I take a break away from it at times that I can jump right back in for some reason, but as of now I have no definite cure.
Lette They are not necessarily fictional because it was loosely based on a true story, but the characters from The Notebook which were based on the author, Nicholas Sparks's wife's grandparents. I am a true believer in true love and they seemed to stand the test of time, through it all. I believe that we all only have that one love that is meant to be for us and hopefully, if God sees fit for it to happen before I leave this earth, I will find mine
