Amanda Lynn Simons Just write. Start somewhere, anywhere and don't stop. You can always go back and edit whet you've written, but it's not easy to remember inspiration later. So figure out how you write best (more than one method is the best) and then make sure you have that available to you. I write my best poetry using the notebook app on my phone. Sometimes I type with it, and sometimes no I use speech to text to get my thoughts down. I also love pen and paper, so I make sure I have a notebook wherever I go.
Amanda Lynn Simons I mostly write poetry. Sometimes I write when I am experiencing stress related to past trauma, sometimes I write because I need to put thoughts on paper, and sometimes it's just that I am inspired. I love using writing prompts or inspiration from the people I am close to.
Amanda Lynn Simons I am currently working on writing more poetry, since it's what I love to write. I plan to focus on my history of abusive and overcoming it.
Amanda Lynn Simons This book is a compilation of poetry I have written to tell my addiction and recovery story. I have been writing poetry since I can remember, but this is the first time I've written multiple poems about the same subject. I was inspired to tell my story while reading a poem a friend wrote about her addiction.
