I think of it this way - where was I when that brilliant idea sparked for the first time? Mostly it's when I'm going for a walk, driving, having a shower - you know, the most annoying times to have an idea. I do these things until inspiration comes. It can't be forced though. The reason these brilliant ideas come at the most inconvenient times is because I'm in a space of allowing my brain to flow around inside of itself with ease. I allow the ideas to float in and out until something grabs my attention and I fixate on it. It's important, even after we've set the foundation of a project, to come back to those moments of flow to allow progress.
That's my long-winded way of getting over writer's block. Doing things that unlock my mind.
